Kyrre Bjørdal Sæther is a Norwegian singer/songwriter with an an impressive and long track record of creating great music for a variety of artists as well as his own solo career. Coming from the old-school singer/songwriter tradition, Kyrre Bjørdal Sæther is an artist who puts the voice up front and center.
Kyree discovered his passion for music in his early childhood life and did not hesitate to dive in on the world of popular music. Throughout his teenage years, Kyrre has played in numerous bands on a variety of instruments. He ventured from playing instrumentals and became a vocalist after he fell in love with the voice aspect of music more than the instrumental. "I realized I loved the voice more than any other instrument. This led me to my other great love, writing songs." Kyrre Bjørdal Sæther said.
From mid 1990s Kyree was writing songs on a daily basis until he decided to take his career to the next level. "I applied to attend the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and completed my Bachelor Degree in Music in 2004," he stated. During his time in LIPA, Kyrre Bjørdal Sæther specialized in songwriting along with vocal technique. On the very same year, he released his first solo album titled My Own which is said to have received a ton of positive reviews and was featured in steady rotation on terrestrial radio.
After some time, Kyrre Bjørdal Sæther returned as a recording artist in 2016 with a more developed pop-ear. "I am happy that my releases have been met with praise, reasonable streaming numbers and interest from terrestrial radio. More new music is always on the horizon, so: Up, up, and away!" said Kyree. With over 267 000 streams on Spotify alone, it is with no doubt that the audience love Kyrre Bjørdal Sæther and his music.
Here's what he had to say about his late released single "2 Wonderful" - This song started out as a funky beat with a juicy bass riff. The melody and feel of the groove lent itself to a playful, summery lyric - telling a story of longing for a time when things seemed better. Although not based on a specific, personal experience, it is based on different experiences when trying to find "true love". The frustration of feeling out of depth, and not knowing what the next right move is - all the while still hopelessly in love.
