EEZY-P talks about Jerusalem:
Mncedisi Ngidi (EEZY-P), the rapper from Harding – Kwazulu Natal discovered his love of music at the age of 12. The rapper grew up listening to the legendary Bonginkosi “Zola” Dlamini and started writing his own songs at the age of 15.
According to the rapper, he started writing his own songs at the age of 15 but he was not recording at that time. He later became a member of musical group with his peers and they recorded their first song in 2008. “The single didn’t get much attention because we were still young and it wasn’t that easy to promote as we were also living in the rural area,” EEZY-P explained.
After releasing the single, the rapper decided to hold back and wait until he finished his matric and moved to Durban. In 2014 EEZY-P recorded his first solo single titled JERUSALEM which was a special dedication to his two late friends – Wonder and Innocent.
EEZY-P explained the motivation behind writing the song, “I had to write the song for both my late friends. Innocent was the very first guy I made a song with and Wonder was my friend who happened to be my biggest fan also.”
