Philasande Nzimande whom is know as Kingstar RSA is an uprising musical artist residing from South Coast of Port Shepstone.
KIngstar grew up listening to the likes of Eminem and Lil Wayne then come on to listening the coolest kid in Africa - Nasty C. He explained that he finds their music easy to relate to and that motivated him into doing music of his own. What may come as a surprise is that Kingstar is actually 14 years old and is currently doing grade 8 in Port Shepstone Secondary school.
According to Kingstar, he started off rapping on the street along with friends from time-to-time and it was only a matter of time before he realized there was actually nothing stopping him from creating music of his own just like any other artist. In July 2019 the rapper started off with his own music and had his first stage performance on the 28th of September 2019 in Ezingolweni where there was an event.
With Kingstar being an artist and also attending school, we asked how he manages the two - "Mostly I focus on school but during weekends and holidays I get enough time to focus more on my music", Kingstar said. Thus far the artist seems to be managing regarding both music and school as he hasn't failed since he started doing music.
